Eric Shanteau has become one of the top U.S. men's breaststrokers in the past
year. Now 26, Shanteau set the American record in the 200m breaststroke
– his best event — at the 2009 U.S. Championships, and subsequently
finished second in the race by 0.01 seconds at the 2009 Worlds.
