Ligety set to clinch GS title

American Ted Ligety is in an excellent position to clinch the giant slalom globe on Friday after finishing the first run in third place. If Ligety’s position holds during the second run, the GS title is his for the second time of his career. Swiss Carlo Janka leads after Run 1.
